Some IDEA members have expressed a respectul surprise, and at the same time also expressed an inability to nominate. Reason: Their minds went blank.

Most IDEA members have been coming to iDate for years....IDEA members have seen more of this industry than most....and (generally) they know more than most.
(Shhhhhh...Don't tell that to the people that work for them)

There's nothing wrong with self nomination. But ...If everyone nominates only themselves just for their category.....Well, you can easily see where that would lead.


There are other categories, and other companies out there I am sure you agree deserve such an award.

-You don't have a preferred Payment Provider?
-Dating Software you've seen you like?
-A up and coming site that you think has a chance?
-A new technology or app that is impressive?

There are about 350 IDEA members that will be weighted to represent 90% of the nominations and votes. Similar to any election, 50% of the people will probably engage, so that's 175. And that 175 will represent 90% of the nominations, votes, etc.

As you can easily see, as an IDEA member that your nomination for each of these categories carries an extremely heavy weight. We ask that you appropriately use this responsibility in the best interest of the industry.

Also, heads up! Your vendors will be contacting you asking you to nominate them. I already started getting calls from exhibitors asking what they should ask from you.

There are companies out there want and need the award. They perceive having it would vastly help their business. I would like to agree. If they win, they are almost certain to announce it on their websites, and seek greater acceptance.

"With great power comes great responsibility."
As an IDEA member you have great power over the outcome of these elections. You can help these sites in the process. You have a great responsibility here for categories other than your own.

Its not alot of your time. And it will help alot of people out there.
